Promoters of the Wine Road Barrel Tasting will be tooling around in a small plane, circling overhead between 2 and 3:30 p.m. today, to do an aerial photo shoot of the wineries and crowds.

Barrel tasting chief poobah Beth Costa will be announcing real-time aerial locations (cell reception permitting) via her social networking tools to prep crowds for the quick fly-by photo ops. You can follow that on twitter at: http://twitter.com/Bethwineroad.

Pictures will be used for the new Sonoma County photo book, calendars and other projects.

So in between pours, keep your eye out for the fly-by shooting.
