With more than 30 wines by the glass, Christy’s on the Square is one stop sipping. And for the eco-conscious palate, Christy’s expects to soon have wine on tap from environmentally-friendly 5 gallon casks.

The wine bar, at 96 Old Courthouse Square, used to be Upper Fourth. Christy’s just opened its doors a few weeks ago.

The old black and white photographs on the wall are a nice touch, with shots including the Rose Parade and the Old Courthouse Square. There’s also a Baby Grand Piano for live jazz Wednesday through Saturday.  Not bad to listen to while nibbling on tapas like Pacific Rim oysters or fresh Ahi Tuna.

Next door to Flavor restaurant, Christy’s is up a staircase, a bit off the beaten path and but it’s a great find so check it out.
