Here’s the back story: Lyndsay Murray-Mazany was sentenced to three years and eight months in state prison after causing the deaths of two Cloverdale women after she had been wine tasting.

Murray-Mazany, a 27-year old from San Francisco, was on a wine  tasting tour of Dry Creek Valley when the crash happened. She had a blood alcohol level of 0.10 at the scene, just over the 0.08 level, which deems her under the influence by law.

Murray-Mazany’s attorney, Chris Andrian, argued for probation. He said in a county where wine is “celebrated” this could have happened to any number of upright and esteemed citizens.
