The cocktail-loving duo in “The Thin Man” would no doubt volunteer to be tasters tomorrow night at the Spoonbar Lounge’s Second Annual Golden Barspoon Encanto Pisco Competition.

Mix masters from all over the North Bay will endeavor to conjure up magic when making drinks using Encanto Pisco. The masses are invited to cheer on their favorite bartender. The bar is offering $5 Pisco specials during the event from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and $25 will cover a taste of each competitor’s drink.

If Nick were there, he’d no doubt be coaching on the appropriate way to shake the cocktails. Remember when he said: “The important thing is the rhythm.” The fox trot? A hip hop shake? Who knows what these bartenders have in store.
