The Zinfandel Advocate and Producers (ZAP) Tasting is set in San Francisco’s Presidio and organizers are offering a new format so the zin-crazed won’t have to stand in line and fight crowds. There are Three Tracks, each $70, and tasters can select one or choose all three, but each setting will have no more than 350 people.

For the droves of zinfandel crazed in Wine Country who are planning to make the trek to the city, here’s a glimpse of the sessions to plan wisely. With hundreds of uncorked zins at the tasting, everyone will have to sip and spit on a tight schedule.

Session 1 – Begins at 10 a.m. at Herbst at the Presidio for a Sensory Tasting.

Session 2 – Begins at 1 p.m. at the Film Centre for a Reserve & Barrel Tasting.

Session 3 – Begins at 4 p.m. at the Observation Post for a Terroir Tasting.

The great news for those who are fans of highbrow grazing is that there will be fancy food trucks nearby. And for those who make ZAP a bit of a wine buying trip —  there will also be a General Store nearby. For more information and discount information, visit www.zinfandel.org.

All set. Now you’re fully ZAP-PREPPED.
